Meeting for everyone Monday 22nd at 4.30pm in 201

This is an additional meeting I would like you all to attend with Richard Hylton, The Cultural Programme Curator, Surrey; to discuss the Exhibition and launch night. It is in room 201 at 4.30pm on Monday. I am hoping that Vanessa will be there as well.

Monday 15th update meeting

Where we are today:

• 100 x Invites left to screen print tomorrow with Letterpress printing starting on Wednesday with Liam in 205 Print room.
  (Bec; Salma, Jake).
• T-Shirts will be started tomorrow hopefully and finished Wednesday / Thursday.
  (Amanda, Charlotte, possibly Amalie).
• Filming of the printing will take place Tuesday / Wednesday.
  (Jason & John).
• Floor plans to be finished for Richard Hylton, including suggested colour walls.
  (Bec).
• 'Working with Paper' foil block to be commissioned.
  (Sallyanne with Urjuan).
• After disscussion with Urjuan the design of the front windows have changed to 'Working with Paper' in yellow vinyl (Murrays?) on the front of the windows with coloured card triangles spinning behind. Testing needs to be done.
  (Bec, Amanda, Chloe, Purna; & Sallyanne to confirm with Vanessa).
• This design will need to be replicated in the Project Space for the Launch Night.
• Card for the Triangles after testing.

• Artwork for the Vinyls for the tables using the same branding as the T-Shirts.

• Possible 'Sample table in the side link Gallery with New G F Smith Identity book on show.

• Monday 29th is a half day testing day of the equipment.

• Urjuan's design of the vinyl as pdf arrived today.

Invites

Next Thursday 11th and Friday 12th September, a small group of students (Bec, Purna, Misha, Charlotte and possibly Katie Thomasson) will be screen printing the invites with Liz, ready for the text to be letterpress printed, once Rose has the plate made.

The paper is a beautiful duplexed sheet in Cobalt Blue and Park Green.

It is intended that most of the printed invites will be picked up on Launch Night for people to put into their personal 'Goody Bags'.

Jason has put the digital invite together, following the printed design, ready to send out to the guest list.

Thanks to Rose we have confirmed Paul Hewitt, Managing Director from Generation Press http://generationpress.co.uk/ who have worked closely with GF Smith. They are a litho printers who have also recently invested in some letterpress kit, so would be particularly relevant from a ‘working with paper’ point of view.
